How It Was Done!
I did a Google search for “free-source perseverance art,” and found this piece on Pinterest.
The next step was to open the image in Photoshop Express and apply a few filters (vivid and dappled). I then adjusted both the image’s saturation (tuned to positive 69), and its shadows (tuned to negative 63). Satisfied with the color manipulation, I saved the image; and moved on to Canva.
I chose to use the image in a “Pinterest Pin” template through Canva’s create menu. My first step after that was to add a box-element, with custom color and transparency capabilities. For this piece, I changed the element’s color to the lightest of the “Photo Colors” (provided by Canva; though most times, I will choose colors from an image using an independent hex-color search application), and changed it’s transparency setting to 72.
For the quotation itself, I used the “Porcelain” 69-point font, and changed the line spacing to 1. I added an additional body-text element for the citation, but kept the “Porcelain” font-style — adjusting it to 34-point font.
I like the Porcelain font. So many fonts to try, so little time!
